About Me

I am a surgical oncologist and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. I treat patients with gastrointestinal cancers, including pancreas, liver, colorectal and stomach. I strive to provide effective, patient-centered and compassionate care.

Our team at the Gastrointestinal/Hepatobiliary Oncology Program at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, gastroenterologists and other specialists who are experts their fields and will spend the time to discuss each patient and the nuances of their care. In turn, my goal is that patients understand their diagnosis and all the treatment options available, including clinical trials.

After graduating from Chicago Medical School, I completed general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. I did my surgical oncology fellowship training at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and James Cancer Hospital in Ohio.

In addition to providing individual care to my own patients, I have a Master's degree in public health from Harvard. My research focuses on achieving equitable health outcomes for vulnerable patient populations.
