Honor and Memorial Gifts
In this fight against cancer, there are many people to recognize. Many individuals choose to make a gift in honor or in memory of a family member, friend, or loved one as a way to positively impact the lives of others. Tribute gifts are considered a great honor at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
If you have requested donations be made in honor or memory of a loved one, please notify the development office cinjdevelopment@ruf.rutgers.edu or 848-932-8013 so that we may allocate incoming gifts appropriately.

Obituary language
In the event that you’d like to request donations be directed to Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in memory of your loved one, below is sample obituary language for your convenience.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Please make check payable to CINJ-RUF and mail to CINJ Development Office, PO Box 193, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Donations can also be made online at bit.ly/SupportRUCancer. Please indicate that the gift is in memory of _____________.
Memorial Wall
When a loved one passes, families may choose to have gifts directed to CINJ in their memory. When memorial gifts total $2,500 or more, families may elect to include the name of their loved one on the Memorial Wall – a series of frosted glass panels which surround the main atrium stairway at Rutgers Cancer institute. Traditionally held on the first Friday of November, family and friends are invited to a reception and dedication celebrating those who were most recently added to the Memorial Wall.
