About Me
As a surgical oncologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey at University Hospital and an Instructor in Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, I look to care for every patient with a compassionate hand using a multidisciplinary team-guided approach. As a native Spanish speaker, I reach out to those patients who get lost in the translation of our healthcare system.
My training is extensive in the management of benign and malignant breast disease, oncoplastic breast surgery, skin and nipple-sparing mastectomies, radioactive seed and wire localized breast conservation surgery and management of the high risk patient.
I received my medical training at New Jersey Medical School, where I later completed a surgical residency. After surgical residency, I completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I am a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society for Surgical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons and Columbia College Women.
